Cavlier Pride Week

Cavalier Pride Week is an annual celebration for students, staff, alumni, and the community to celebrate everything Western. Hosted every year in the Fall, Cavalier Pride Week is a special time to come together and celebrate those who represent the Western Cavaliers. This week is filled with fun events for the greater Western Community to participate in. Whether you are catching one of the athletics events or attending an event on campus, Cavalier Pride Week has something for you!

2024 Cavalier Pride Week is scheduled for September 29 - October 5 

Event Information:

Be Your Own Cavalier Swag/Photo Booth Table- Stop by to visit the staff of The SPACE, express your Cavalier Pride with our photo booth, and grab some free Cavalier Swag. We will be in the Union Market from 1130am - 1pm on October 1 & 2. 

Cavalier Pride Week Swag Handout- Stop by the Union Market from 11am-1pm to pick up your Cavalier Pride Swag and socialize. Grab a bite to eat, play games, and pick up some Cavalier swag.  

Clay Target Shooting Night- Interested in joining the Clay Target team? Stop out at Gunslick Trap Club to watch the team in action and get connected to coaches and current players!  

Esports Mario Kart: Pride Cup Tournament Night- Do you have the need for speed? Try your hand at Western Esports’ Mario Kart tournament. Win prizes, enjoy free snacks and socialize in the Cavalier Arena  

Healthy Cavaliers- Our Pride isn’t just on the surface. Stop by and learn more about how Western is supporting healthy Cavaliers. Learn more about available resources, tips, and have a chance to win Union Market gift cards!  

Home Volleyball (VB) Matches- Western hosts multiple home Volleyball matches with presents ample opportunities to show your Cavalier Pride. All staff and students attend free with their student ID’s. Attend any (or all) of our three home volleyball matches and support the following themes: 

  • Pack the Gym Night- Cheer on your Cavaliers as they take on MN West on Wednesday, October 2 

  • Fill the Cupboard Night- Make a donation to the Cavalier Cupboard food pantry. Fans, alumni, and community members receive free entrance to the volleyball match with a donation to the Cavalier Cupboard. Game time starts at 6:30pm at The Seminary.  

  • Community/Alumni Day- Share the home volleyball match with your friends, family and other members of the community to share the Cavalier pride.  

Kick it With the Space- Join friends, peers, and staff in The SPACE for free coffee and donuts and hear more information about upcoming events and get free swag!  

Outdoor Games- Visit the Res Hall to participate in an array of outdoor games including cornhole, horseshoes, and many more! Socialize with friends and peers while enjoying fun, outdoor activities.   

Red and Black Day- Wear red and black for the Western Cavaliers on October 2. Show your support for Western Volleyball by attending the Pack the Gym Night in your red and black. Match starts at 6:30pm at the Seminary. Share your pride photo with the #CavalierPrideWeek 

Student-Athlete Celebration Event- This event is hosted for current Western student-athletes to celebrate their commitment to being a Cavalier.  

Student Org Fair- Stop by the Student Club and Organization Fair on October 1 from 10am – 12pm to learn more about the clubs that are active on campus! Talk with active members, hear what they’ve been up to, and connect for future events and membership.  

Western Cares Blood Drive-  Looking for a way to give back? Donating blood is a great way to save lives and it doesn't take long. Donate on October 3 from 10am-3pm in the Student Union. Wellness Center Open House- Stop by and check out the renovations to the Western Wellness Center. Sign up for memberships, win prizes, and grab a snack! Located in the Administrative Center – Wellness Center from 3-5pm.  

Western Spirit Day- Wear your Western Cavalier gear! Take a photo of your gear and post with the #CavalierPrideWeek to see our Cavalier Pride!
