Bio

Brent has been with Western since 1998. He began teaching psychology that summer before moving into his current role in 2000 as a counselor working in the Counseling and Case Management department. Brent will take over as the head volleyball coach for the 2024 season.

Brigson began coaching volleyball at the U14 level several years ago before moving into the head varsity coach position at Bangor High school from 2019 through 2022. Brent also spent time coaching a national team through Elevate Volleyball Club from 2020-2022.

Brent has been married to his wife Dana, a professor at Winona State University, since 1997. They have three daughters and a new puppy named Theo and currently reside in West Salem. Over the years Brent has coached multiple sports including basketball and softball in addition to volleyball. In his free time Brent enjoys running and has trained for several half marathons.
